Kick off the school year with our wide range of sports for all ages and skill levels to enjoy!

PRESCHOOL

  • FOCUS: Designed to focus on the development of key fundamentals for youth young athletes.

    FORMAT: 3v3 format. This program is a very basic introduction to the game. Teams practice one day per week and have games following the practice. Shin guards are required and cleats are optional.

    FALL SEASON DATES: Mid August - Mid October
    SPRING SEASON DATES: Early April - Mid May
    PRACTICES: 1 time/week- Monday
    GAMES: Last 15 min of practice- Monday
    UNIFORM: Jersey provided

YOUTH

  • Our fall baseball program is comprised of the following divisions:

    8U - Coach Pitch

    10U - Minor League

    12U - Major League

    13U/14U - Babe Ruth

    Our 8U - 12U teams play in the RYSE Baseball League (rysenation.org), and 13U/14U plays in the Don Edwards Fall League (donedwardspark.org).

    UNIFORMS: All age groups will receive a jersey and hat.

    PRACTICES: All practices are at Racoon Valley Park. 8U has 2 contact points (CP)/week, 10U has 3-4 CP/week, 12U 3-5 CP/week, and 13/14U 5-7 CP/week.

    GAMES: Games for 8U-12U will take place at various parks throughout Licking and surrounding counties. Games for 13U/14U will take place at Don Edwards Park (Newark).

    SEASON DATES: Mid-August - Late October

  • AGE GROUP: 1st and 2nd grade

    • Learn the basics of sideline cheerleading

    • Early September - Late October (will coincide with Flag Football)

    • Group will meet Sundays from 1-2pm at Bryn Du mansion

    • First 30 min will consist of learning cheers / second 30 min will be spent cheering at Flag Football games

    • T shirt and pom-poms provided

    AGE GROUP: 3rd/4th Grade

    • Learn the basics of sideline cheerleading

    • Practice 1x per week and cheer at 3rd/4th grade tackle football games (Saturdays or Sundays)

    • Mid-August - Late October

    • Cheer Shell, Cheer Skirt, Cheer Spanx, Pom Poms provided

    AGE GROUP: 5th/6th Grade

    • Learn the basics of sideline cheerleading

    • Practice 1x per week and cheer at 3rd/4th grade tackle football games (Saturdays or Sundays)

    • Mid-August - Late October

    • Cheer Shell, Cheer Skirt, Cheer Spanx, Pom Poms provided

  • FOCUS: Designed for both beginners and those with field hockey experience to enjoy practice and league play

    FORMAT: Play in league format with games scheduled throughout the Columbus area.

    SEASON DATES: 8/01 - End of October
    PRACTICES: 4 day per week/ TBA
    GAMES: Approx. 12 per season
    UNIFORM: Provided

  • AGE GROUP: 1st/2nd Grade (Co-Ed)

    • Learn the basic fundamentals of football including passing, catching, defense strategies, and basic rules.

    • 5 v 5 format. Coaches serve as officials. Games may be stopped during play for coaches to provide instruction and explain rules.

    • Mid-September - Late October

    • Practice 1x per week/ Games 1x per week

    AGE GROUP: 3rd/4th Grade (Co-ed)

    • Learn the basic fundamentals of football including passing, catching, defensive strategies, and basic rules.

    • 5 v 5 format. Games at the YMCA vs local community teams

    • Practices 2x per week at Bryn Du Mansion/ Games 1x per week at YMCA

    • Mouth guard required

    AGE GROUP: Kindergarten (Co-Ed)

    • 3v3 format with no goalie

    • Practices 1 day/week - Wednesdays

    • 1 game/week on Saturdays

    • In-House, all practices and games at GIS soccer fields

    • Late August - Mid October

    AGE GROUP: 1st grade (Co-Ed)

    • 3v3 format with no goalie

    • Practices 1 day/week - Tuesdays

    • 1 game/week on Saturdays

    • In-House, all practices and games at GIS soccer fields

    • Late August- Mid October

    AGE GROUP: 2nd grade (Co-Ed)

    • 5v5 format with no goalie

    • Practices 1 day/week - TBD

    • 1 game/week on Saturdays

    • In-House, all practices and games at GIS

    • Late August- Mid October

    AGE GROUP: 3rd/4th and 5th/6th grade boys and girls

  • We provide club soccer for boys and girls ages 8 - 13. Team placement is based on birth year.

    FOCUS: Development of basic skills of the game to prepare for the next level of competition.

    FORMAT: These teams are a part of the Ohio Champions League. Teams will compete with other club teams within central Ohio. Games are typically on weekends. Season will go roughly from early August through end of October. Contact points can vary between 2-5/week based on practice and game schedules.

    UNIFORMS: Jersey, shorts, and socks are provided. Shin guards and cleats are required.

    EVALS: Evaluations are required to be selected for a team. Evals occur at the end of the previous club soccer season. Evals are open to everyone, roster spots are not guaranteed season to season.

    *** Evaluation is free, but if you are selected to the team, fees will range from $350 - $450.

  • Focus is on growth and development. Beginners welcome! This is a great season to give softball a try! Register for the age group your child will play in the following Spring.

    • Fall League is hosted by Lakewood and games are played at Canal Park.

    • 8U / 10U and 12U divisions

  • The fall tennis season is for girls grades 6 - 8. Players would need to know the basics of tennis.

    • Matches played at home and away. Away matches played in both licking county and Columbus.

    • Practice dates and times will be determined after HS schedule is set.

    • Mid-August - End of September

    • Jersey provided

MIDDLE SCHOOL

  • FOCUS: To learn and develop archery skills.

    FORMAT: Participants will learn and develop Archery techniques through practices and tournaments throughout Central Ohio. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in Individual and/or Team Tournaments with a maximum of 24 team members who can attend per tournament.

    Due to the many other sport commitments, attending all practices is NOT MANDATORY and independent practices are encouraged.

    TRY-IT: Those interested are encouraged to attend the first couple of weeks to give archery a try.

    SEASON DATES: Late October- Spring
    PRACTICE LOCATION: Granville Middle School Gym
    PRACTICES: M, Tu, F | 6:30-7:30AM | Practice Days could change if necessary due to Coach availability
    TOURNAMENTS: Weekends
    UNIFORMS: Team Shirt provided

  • 13/14U Fall baseball will play in the Don Edwards fall league.

    • Season will run mid-August - Late September

    • 2-3 Practices per week all at Raccoon Valley Park

    • All games played at Don Edwards (Newark)

    • Jersey and hat provided

    PRACTICE: Teams will practice several nights per week at RVP. and

    GAMES: Can be both weeknights and Saturdays. Wil be both home and away (Columbus suburbs).

    SEASON DATES: 8/1 - End of October

    UNIFORM: Jersey and shorts provided
