In early 2009, the Granville Recreation District was created by joint resolution of the Village of Granville, Granville Township and The Granville Exempted School District.  In November, voters passed a Recreation Levy to fund the new GRD. The GRD continues the strong community based recreation legacy begun by The Granville Recreation Commission which was organized in 1970 and chartered as a not-for-profit corporation the following year.  In 1972 the Granville voters approved a local levy for a one-half mill "for the purpose of providing a comprehensive recreation program for the Granville community".

ELIGIBILITY:

GRD PROGRAMS ARE OPEN TO RESIDENTS AND FAMILIES OF PERSONS EMPLOYED IN BUSINESSES, LOCATED WITHIN THE GRANVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT.
